Quotations from John Paul II’s works appeared in buses, at bus stops and various advertisements all over the city. The quotes include the Pope’s words from pilgrimages, meetings with the youth or the sick. They relate to diverse aspects of life. All of them are described very precisely so that we could find the full works of the Pope.
The initiative will be accompanied by various events reminding of John Paul II’s message and encouraging to get to know his works. The round-up of the „Lublin reads the Pope” initiative will take place during the Concert of Glory which is organised annually at the Feast of Corpus Christi in the centre of Lublin.
John Paul II is an honorary citizen of the City of Lublin. He taught at the Catholic University of Lublin for 24 years.
