December in Chatka Żaka begins with one of the oldest Festivals in Lublin.

St Nicolas Day International Festival of Folk Music (Mikołajki Folkowe), an international festival of folk music, will be held from December 8 to December 11 at Academic Culture and Media Centre "Chatka Żaka". The programme includes concerts as well as workshops, exhibition openings or "Jarmark Cudów".

This is Poland’s oldest and one of the largest festivals showcasing music inspired by folklore. It was inaugurated in 1991. The goal of the event is to disseminate traditional culture in all its forms and manifestations, mainly through the presentation of innovative transformations of music folklore.

Tickets: PLN 70 normal / PLN 50 reduced-price.
