The team responsible for Lublin's application for the European Capital of Culture title invites students of the Faculty of Arts at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin, including doctoral students, to collaborate on the creation of visual identity of the application based on it’s the main theme - Re:Union.

The proposed works should address the visual interpretation of the concept of Re:Union, the slogan of Lublin's application for the European Capital of Culture 2029 bid. The concept can be broadly interpreted as reuniting, connecting across various areas, social groups, or disciplines. In the pursuit of the ECoC title, students can collectively explore the idea of community and coexistence within a diverse society. Organizers are seeking fresh perspectives and unconventional approaches based on personal beliefs about the meaning of the theme.

The competition pertains to graphic, painting, and collage works (any technique is acceptable); winning projects will be featured on ECoC's websites and social media platforms.
From the submitted projects, the team will select five winners, with each receiving a prize of 1000 PLN.

The deadline for electronic submissions of the applications is the April 21st.
