COVID-19 Update:

  • 117 new cases reported in Poland
  • 7 new cases in Lublin Region

Current restrictions, regarding the COVID-19 epidemic:

 

Limitation of movement 

Leaving home should be kept to an absolute minimum and distance from other pedestrians should be at least 2 meters. Valid until: April 19, 2020

Prohibition of staying in public by minors without care of an adult Valid until: April 19, 2020

Obligation to cover mouth and nose in public places It applies to wearing masks or any other type of cover. Valid from April 16, 2020

Obligation not to enter parks, forests, beaches, boulevards and promenades  Valid until: April 19, 2020

Prohibition of usage urban bikes Valid until: April 19, 2020

Public transport

Only half of the seats can be occupied. It is recommended to leave alternate seat empty. Valid until: April 19, 2020

Cars larger than 9-seater vehicles

In a car with more than 9 seats, a maximum of half of the seats can be occupied. Valid until: April 19, 2020 Note! The restriction does not apply to passenger cars.

Air traffic Suspension of domestic and international passenger flights. Valid until: April 26, 2020

International railway traffic Suspension of international passenger connections. Valid until: April 26, 2020

 

Ban on public gatherings

Any gatherings, meetings, events or assemblies of more than 2 people are prohibited. This restriction does not apply to meetings with close family. Note! Workplaces are excluded. Valid until further notice.

 

Shopping, services 

Shopping centres

Commercial activities in shopping centres can only be carried out by the following industries:

  • food,
  • cosmetic (except for products of perfumes and beauty),
  • toiletries and cleaning products,
  • medical and pharmaceutical,
  • renovation and construction articles,
  • press,
  • animal supplies,
  • fuels

Number of customers in a store, fair and post office

A maximum of as many people as the number of all cash registers or payment points multiplied by 3 can enter each store (both small and large area shops). This means that if there are 5 cash registers in the store, then only 15 customers may be on the premises at any given time.

  • fairs - as many people as the number of sales points multiplied by 3;
  • post offices - as many people as the number of post windows multiplied by 2.

“Hours for Seniors” From 10:00 to 12:00, stores and service points can only serve people over 65 years of age. Note! Does not apply to petrol stations Valid until: April 19, 2020

Large construction stores closed on weekends. Valid until: April 19, 2020

Hairdressers, beauty and piercing salons as well as  tatoo parlours closed without exception. These services will also not be available outside – e.g. home visits are prohibited. Valid until: April 19, 2020

 

Religious services

A mass or other religious services may not be attended by more than 5 people at the same time - excluding those serving in the service (in case of funerals - persons employed by the funeral parlour). Valid until: April 19, 2020

 

Crossing the border

The borders of our country can only be crossed by:

  • citizens of Republic of Poland,
  • foreigners who are spouses or children of Polish citizens or remain under the constant care of Polish citizens,
  • persons who have a Pole's Card,
  • diplomats,
  • persons who have the right of permanent or temporary residence in Poland or a work permit,
  • in particularly justified cases, the commander of the Border Guard facility - after obtaining the consent of the Commander-in-Chief of the Border Guard - may allow a foreigner to enter the territory of the Republic of Poland in accordance with the procedure specified in the Act of 12 December 2013 on foreigners (Journal of Laws of 2020 item 35),
  • foreigners who operate a means of transport for the carriage of goods.

Note! Cargo transport is operating normally.

Schools and universities

All schools and universities in Poland are closed. Lessons and classes do not take place stationary, but via the Internet using e-learning platforms.

Note! Eighth-grader exam and mature exams will take place in June at the earliest. The specific date will be given at least 3 weeks before the exam

Nurseries and kindergartens

The activities of nurseries, children's clubs and kindergartens are suspended. The issue of paying fees by parents during their suspension should be regulated in the nursery statute as well as in the contract with the parents.

Note! Parents of children under 8 years of age are entitled to additional care allowance in the event of the closing of a nursery, kindergarten, school or children's club.

Gastronomy

All restaurants, cafes and bars can only provide take-out and delivery services.

Culture and Sport
