On 16-22 September 2021 Gmina Lublin organised an event entitled European Transport Week.
The European Transport Week or European Mobility Week, as it is also named, is an initiative of the European Commission, which aims to encourage city dwellers to change their health-related habits and choose alternative, ecological means of transport. The 2021 celebration was carried out as part of the project MOVE IT like Lublin – a Chisinau public transport sustainable development initiative, co-founded by the European Union.
On this occasion, Lublin hosted two representatives of the city of Chisinau, Mr. Octavian Lungu - Project Manager and Mr. Dorin Ciornii - CEO of Regia Transport Electric Chisinau. During a 3-day visit, our guests attended the activities of European Transport Week, because in 2022 the city of Chisinau is to organise a similar event as part of the project requirements. The delegation had the opportunity to visit the depot at ul. Grygowa, get acquainted with the specifics of the ZTM work, as well as learn about the principles of operation of the Lublin public transport operator MPK. Mr Krzysztof Żuk, Mayor of the City of Lublin, officially welcomed the guests during the ETW picnic day at the Castle Square in Lublin.
