On January, 5, transport of 10 divergent power generators with a total value of PLN 135,000 departed from Lublin to Ukrainian cities. Donation was provided by ISS World Services A/S with its registered office in Soeborg, (Denmark).
About 14 million inhabitants of Ukraine currently have no access to electricity, heat and water due to Russia's constant attack. The generators will be delivered to support projects of municipal libraries in Lutsk, the House of Culture in Pavlograd (Dnipropetrovsk Oblast). Moreover, it will also be delivered to Sumy City Hall and Odessa to assist hostels with internally displaced people accommodated there. Lublin have been providing generators to venues that have been on a wish list provided by the Ukrainian network of Intercultural Cities. Lublin has been cooperating with various European cities for many years within this Council of Europe initiative.
This is another power generator shipment from Lublin to Ukraine. Protection Civile, the French organisation, cooperating with the City of Lublin, delivered high-power generators to Rivne and Kharkiv (Lublin's partner cities) in December 2022.
