Bioteka has received the German Design Award (GDA) 2023. It is the fourth global award as of today.
German experts on architecture recognised the innovative interior design of BIOTEKA, the branch of the Municipal Public Library located at Al. Racławickich 22 in Lublin. The award is given for outstanding achievements respecting product and communication design, as well as to a personality in the design sector. A company can only enter the competition for the Design Award if its product has already been awarded a national or international design prize.
The German Design Award (GDA) 2023 is one of the most important worldwide of design and architecture awards, and sets innovative trends within design section. It is one of the most prestigious awards for the world of design in all industries and has been awarded by the German Design Council for exactly 70 years now. The evaluation criteria for nomination include the overall concept, sustainability, aesthetics, durability and functionality.
