Lublin wants to join the Global Network for Age-friendly Cities and Communities. Monika Lipińska, Deputy Mayor for for Social Issues and her team worked for several months on the bid to the World Health Organization (WHO).
This is the outcome of a long-term work on the senior Lublin policy, thus far and the result of a number of activities addressed to Lublin residents 65+.
It would be a great distinction for Lublin to receive a certificate of an Age-friendly City and being admitted into the Global Network for Age-friendly Cities and Communities. Currently, the network includes over 1,500 cities around the world. Age-friendly World creates a place for people and organizations all over the world to share what they know and learn from others.
