Current Epidemiological Report (as of April 2, 2020)

Local news:

Details of Lublin Support Package for Businesses and NGOs are revealed. The Package aims to support local businesses and social organisations that are adversely affected by restrictions to social-economic life due to SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.

Planned Actions include:

  • Help to Lessees and Tenants of real estate, property, or Lublin Municipality-owned premises, who lost legitimate income due to coronavirus epidemic. You need to either be a registered entrepreneur or operate as an NGO to avail of the Package. The assistance involves:
  • 90% rent reduction from your agreed, in the original contract, rent amount;
  • in case of seasonal (summer) lessees (e.g. restaurant beer gardens), no rent will be charged during trade suspension period imposed by the regulations;
  • an option to have your rent paid in instalments or pay using deferred payment scheme.

Aid for SMEs in payments of local taxes:

  • a possibility to pay on a deferred payment basis;
  • a possibility to pay local taxes in instalments.

Aid for SMEs in payments of perpetual usufruct

  • prolongation of payment for perpetual usufruct until June 30, 2020
  • a possibility to pay for perpetual usufruct in instalments


Pursuant to Act of 31 March 2020 on Changing Specific Solutions Related to Preventing, Counteracting and Combating COVID-19, other Infectious Diseases and Crisis Situations caused by them together with other Acts, the current regulations regarding the temporary and permanent residence permits for foreigners in the Republic of Poland are subject to change. The change in regulations stipulated in art. 15z of the above Act.

If the deadline for filing an application for temporary residence permit referred to in article 105 sec. 1 of the Act of 12 December 2013 on Foreigners (Dz.U. 2020, poz. 35), falls within the period of an epidemic emergency or a state of epidemic, announced due to the transmission of the SARS-CoV-2, this period is extended until 30th day following the date of cancellation of either of the two sates (whichever is last).

The foreigner's stay on the territory of the Republic of Poland during the extended period referred to in section 1 shall be considered legal within the meaning of art. 108 sec. 1 point 2 of the Act of 12 December 2013 on Foreigners, provided the foreigner submits an application within this period.

The provisions of section 1 and 2 shall apply accordingly to the deadlines referred to in article 85(1), article 139l(1), article 139t(1), article 202(1) applicable to permanent residence permits and EU long-term resident's residency permits and article 300(2) of the Act of 12 December 2013 on Foreigners.

We would like to inform you that, as of today, for the sake of our common health and safety during the epidemic, 67 pedestrian crossings will be switched to automatic mode and, due to reduced traffic, 27 traffic lights will be switched off at junctions. Junctions will operate in ‘yellow-pulse-mode’. Any comments on traffic lights functioning, may be directed to Traffic and Mobility Management Department of the Lublin City Hall at zrim@lublin.eu.

The Infectious Diseases Clinic of the Independent Public Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Lublin is testing a new method to treat coronavirus disease. Lublin clinic was selected by one of the European centres to introduce a new antiviral drug. It is a novelty Poland-wide.

As a part of global #StayHomeStaySafe action, the International Cooperation Office of the Lublin City Hall, partnered with Tourism Bureau, launched the #stayhome website. It is a tool enabling local companies and institutions to reach out to region's residents with various services during COVID-19.
