29.04.202017:35

COVID-19 Update:

  • 422 new cases reported in Poland
  • 3 new cases in Lublin Region
  • 12 640 people infected in total
  • 624 deaths in total

Usefull information:

Hotels, shopping centres and medical rehabilitation will be reopened on May 4, and from May 6 you will be able to take your child to a nursery / kindergarten.

We're going to enter to the second announced stage of phasing out related to COVID-19. After May long weekend, shopping centres will be reopened, construction stores will be open on weekends, and hotels will resume operations. Sick people will return to rehabilitation, and libraries and cultural institutions will be gradually opened after consultation with the Sanitary Inspector. The further changes concern functioning of kindergartens and nurseries.

Shopping centres and large area stores will be reopened, but with a limited number of people and no meals

Retail and service facilities with a sales area of over 2,000 sq. m - i.e. shopping centres, large-surface stores - will be reopened. However, there will be a limit of people – 1 person/ every 15 m2 of surface. Important - the sales area does not include the area of corridors.

Note! However, fitness centres and recreational spaces (e.g. playgrounds) cannot operate in shopping centres. There cannot be any places where meals are eaten inside (the so-called food court).

Hotels and accommodation will be reopened, but without possibility to use swimming pools and gyms

Until now, hotels have not generally accommodated guests - except for delegated and quarantined people. This prohibition will be lifted. However, hotels and accommodations may provide services under specific security rules.

Note! The operation of hotel restaurants and recreational spaces is still limited. Gyms, meeting rooms and swimming pools remain closed. Hotel restaurants, may can serve meals to hotel guests only in their rooms. They will not be able to serve them inside the restaurants.

Construction stores will be opened on weekends

The current trade ban on large-scale construction stores on weekends would be lifted.

Libraries and museums

The ban on libraries, archives, museums and other cultural activities would be lifted.

Note!  Cultural institutions will be opened gradually and at the different times. The authority running the given institution will decide about the specific date after consultation with the regional sanitary and epidemiological station.

Medical rehabilitation

Sick people and people suffering from pain will be able to benefit from therapeutic rehabilitation from May 4th.

Note! Massage parlours remain closed!

Nurseries and kindergartens will be opened on May 6.

Children of working parents will be able to return to nurseries or kindergartens. From Wednesday, May 6, the authorities running these institutions can open them, taking into account the guidelines of the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate, as well as the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy.

Note! Due to the epidemiological situation, the running authority may limit the size of the kindergarten group or limit the number of children under care in nurseries.

Note! A local government unit may close all nurseries and kindergartens in its area on the basis of existing general provisions.

Childcare allowance is paid to parents when:

  • the kindergarten and nursery are closed by decision of the local government,
  • when a nursery or kindergarten cannot provide care due to restrictions due to COVID-19.

Possibility of using remote medical advice in a foreign language

Due to the current situation, medical teleconsultations are increasingly being provided not only by internal doctors, but also by specialist doctors (cardiologists, neurologists, ophthalmologists, etc.). Medical entities offer various forms of remote contact between doctors and patients, from telephone consultations through on-line consultations (videoconsultation, patient chat).

Most often, reservations for a teleconsultation can be made by phone, some centres also have on-line registration.
