16.06.202014:30

COVID-19 Update:

  • 407 new cases reported in Poland
  • 9 new cases in Lublin Region
  • 30 195 people infected in total
  • 1 272 deaths in total

Useful information:

Dealing with the worn protective equipment (masks, gloves)

Regarding to the imposition of the state of the epidemic in Poland, citizens were obliged to use personal protective equipment - masks, and in some cases gloves. Protective measures are used to minimize the risk of coronavirus infection and spread of disease, therefore they should be used correctly - nose and mouth have to be covered. The mask cannot be worn on chin or neck. Waste gloves and masks should be disposed of in municipal bins for mixed waste, not scattered on lawns, pavements, or roadside ditches. However, if we are close to our place of residence, we should throw away used materials into bags designated for mixed waste.

During the pandemic, scattered wastes are an epidemiological threat to each of us, so you cannot litter but throw them away in the bins. Residents can also carry plastic disposable bags, in which they will put used personal protective equipment, as long as there is no place nearby to throw them away. In this situation, the protective equipment together with the bag should be thrown into the nearest bin.
