Lublin kindergartens have resumed their activities from 11 May
The city of Lublin is the leading authority for 64 kindergartens, 1 preschool unit and 40 preschool classes in 26 primary schools. All the facilities run by the city of Lublin undertook activities in the field of implementing Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) anti-epidemic guidelines and launching the facilities in the new conditions as soon as possible.
48 kindergartens running by local government and 20 preschool classes in primary schools have already resumed operations on May 11 (attached list of facilities). 1557 children will return to municipal kindergartens, i.e. approx. 17% of all enrolled. This is a number smaller than initially declared by parents on April 30. Further kindergartens and preschool classes in primary schools, after adapting to the new guidelines, will be launched by the City on the following dates: from May 12 Kindergarten No. 75, classes in Primary School No. 7; from May 14 - Kindergartens No. 12, 28; from 18 May - Kindergartens No. 4, 6, 9, 16, 34, 36, 45, 46, 74, classes in Primary Schools No. 1, 24, 47; from May 25 - Kindergartens No. 3, 22, 40, 58, 83, Primary Schools No. 20 and 25. Some kindergartens still will be working on ensuring safe and hygienic conditions. Some kindergartens will not meet the GIS requirements in such a short time (Kindergarten No. 22, Kindergarten No. 3), others are currently undergoing renovation or repair work related to failure removal (Kindergarten No. 4, Kindergarten No. 34, Kindergarten with Integration Departments No. 36, Integration Kindergarten No. 40, Kindergarten No. 45, Kindergarten No. 58).
Of the non-public kindergartens for which the city is a subsidizing body, 38 resumed operations on May 6. The next 16 institutions are going to operate from 11 May, the next 52 from 18 May.

Children will return to municipal nurseries from May 14
Regarding to the need to develop procedures for admitting children to nurseries, staff work conditions or the purchase of necessary materials and protective measures, as well as due to limited staffing opportunities (a large number of babysitters are on care allowances and sick leaves), 5 municipal nurseries will resume operation from 14 May, another 4 from May 18.
From May 14, the limited activity, resulting from the guidelines of the Chief Sanitary Inspector and the minister competent for family affairs, will be resumed by 5 nurseries. They will gather a maximum of 196 children:
- Nursery no. 1 ul. Wileńska 19, for 2 groups not exceeding 12 children, with the possibility of increasing by two children in each group (max. 24 children + 4 children)
- Nursery no. 2 ul. Okrzei 11, for 2 groups not exceeding 12 children, with the possibility of increasing by two children in each group (max. 24 children + 4 children)
- Nursery no. 5 ul. Sowia 4, for 2 groups not exceeding 12 children, with the possibility of increasing by two children in each group (max. 24 children + 4 children)
- Nursery no. 7 ul. Braci Wieniawskich 10, for 3 groups not exceeding 12 children, with the possibility of increasing by two children in each group (max. 36 children + 6 children)
- Nursery no. 9 ul. Zelwerowicza 2, for 5 groups not exceeding 12 children, with the possibility of increasing by two children in each group (max. 60 children + 10 children)
From 18 May, 4 nurseries resume limited activity, gathering 126 children:
- Nursery no. 3 ul. Wolska 5, for 3 groups not exceeding 12 children, with the possibility of increasing by two children in each group (max. 36 children + 6 children)
- Nursery no. 4 ul. Puławska 7, for 2 groups not exceeding 12 children, with the possibility of increasing by two children in each group (max. 24 children + 4 children)
- Nursery no. 6 ul. Herberta 12, for 2 groups not exceeding 12 children, with the possibility of increasing by two children in each group (max. 24 children + 4 children)
- Nursery no. 8 ul. Nałkowskich 102, for 2 groups not exceeding 12 children, with the possibility of increasing by two children in each group (max. 24 children + 4 children)
The current demand of parents concerns the admission of 309 children, there will be 322 places for childcare in municipal nurseries. Other care facilities will be launched successively, whenever possible, after lifting restrictions on the number of groups. Detailed information on the rules and criteria for admitting children to nurseries in conditions of limited activity will be provided by the Municipal Nursery Office and directors of individual institutions.
Parents whose children will not attend the nursery in May will not be charged for the child's stay in the nursery. Exemption from the abovementioned fees will take place on the same rules as in April. Detailed information on this matter will be available on the website of the Municipal Nursery Office.
