01.06.202016:56

During a press conference on May 27, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced lifting restrictions resulting from the coronavirus pandemia. From May 30, we change the rules for covering the mouth and nose. If it is possible to keep a distance, wearing masks will not be mandatory - with the exceptions. From June 6, cultural institutions, cinemas, theaters and recreational facilities, such as fitness clubs and gyms, can be opened with the obligation to meet sanitary requirements.

The film repertoire is coming back to the Lublin cultural life! We invite everyone to the very heart of the Saxon Garden instead of an intimate, cosy cinema room. We are coming back to the tradition of open-air cinema in the Concert Shell! The number of seats is limited up to 200. Free online tickets for particular screenings are available here

The Centre for Culture has prepared a series entitled "Cinema under the stars". We will have an opportunity to see productions we missed because of the pandemic. All the safety standards will be maintained.

Moreover, we celebrate Children's Day on Monday June, 1. The Andersen Theatre prepared a small online surprise for the youngest to commemorate this special occasion - traditional reading of Andersen's fairy tales.

The programme includes:

The exhibition Monika Sosnowska in Galeria Labirynt

Monika Sosnowska’s work Façade reopens in Galeria Labirynt. The exhibition vernissage was cancelled due to the pandemic outbreak and the piece remained isolated from visitors for more than two months. It can now be viewed. Façade is the artist’s first exhibition in Lublin and the first presentation of the piece in Poland.

Seeking to ensure viewers’ safety,  the number of visitors at the gallery at a given time is limited to ten people. The exhibition opening for viewers will be preceded by performative actions by Mikołaj Karczewski, Beata Mysiak and Anna Żak together with the Lublin Dance Theatre. The performers will engage their bodies in a dialogue with Sosnowska’s monumental sculpture. Performances will be streamed live on the Labirynt Gallery YouTube channel on May, 29 2020 at 6 PM.
