On March 11, 2024, Professor Mark J. Rozell met with representatives of Lublin City Hall: Mariusz Banach, Deputy Mayor for Education, Mariusz Sagan, Director of Strategy and Entrepreneurship Department and Wiktoria Herun, Head of the Division of Academic Promotion. Discussions focused on academic cooperation, particularly the potential for closer cooperation between Lublin universities and USA academic institutions, student and researcher exchanges, as well as joint research projects.
Moreover, the discussion focused on Lublin 2030 development strategy, as a foundation for attracting foreign students to Lublin and developing more captivating academic and social environment for foreign students. The meeting also included a discourse on current political situation in the United States and its impact on US foreign and economic policy. Professor's visit to Lublin is part of Visiting Professors in Lublin programme aimed at attracting to Lublin distinguished characters from educational and business worlds and enabling city residents to participate in meetings. Professor Rozell's open popular science lecture on US presidential elections inaugurated current edition programme.
