On November 16, we celebrate the International Day of Tolerance. The mayors of Polish and foreign cities issued a special appeal to respect the principles of equality and tolerance towards minorities and discriminated groups. Shared celebration is attended by, among others, members of the Union of Polish Metropolises and self-governments from the Association of Polish Cities.

At the initiative of Rafał Trzaskowski, the Mayor of Warsaw, numerous cities - Düsseldorf, Prague, Budapest, Bratislava, Madrid, Copenhagen, Florence, Ghent, Birmingham and Reykjavik also joined in. The Mayors have recalled the role and importance of tolerance, a fragment of the Declaration on the Principles of Tolerance and expressed solidarity with all the discriminated and excluded.

Selected buildings, important for cities participating in the event, will be highlighted.

The english version of the appeal is attached below.
