One of the most modern sports facilities has been opened in Lublin. Admission to AQUA Lublin for adults is half price for the first month after the launch, whereas children up to 3rd grade of junior high school have to pay 1 PLN to make use of the facilities provided that they are supervised by a Responsible Adult.
Aqua Lublin, which is the Olympic Pool and the complex of indoor swimming baths, meets international standards which makes it possible to organise top-level competitions. Over 4000 people a day can make use of the facilities.
The swimming complex is divided into 3 parts.
Part A is constituted by the multifunctional recreation pool. Spheres where one could learn to swim or receive a hydro massage, as well as an artificial river and a water slide are available within the pool. Two water slides with pools are also located in the immediate vicinity of the pool.
Part B is constituted by a 50-metre pool of 25 x 51,3 metres which is intended to be used for organising international, top-level, long and short distance swimming competitions, matches of water ball and training.
Part B is also constituted by:
a recreation pool with an air geyser, a waterfall, a 3-nozzles wall massage, a climbing wall, an air bench;
a jacuzzi with hot water equipped with air benches and air beds;
a pool for children with a straight water slide, a water mushroom and a “pirate ship”;
an outdoor pool with beds and air benches joined by a water way with the recreation swimming pool hall which enables the use all year round an outdoor swimming pool with hot water and a jacuzzi.
Part C is constituted by additional facilities including changing rooms, sanitary facilities, rehabilitation and wellness complex, a sauna complex of wellness and recreational qualities and a room dedicated to children.
The sport facility is fully adjusted to meet the needs of the disabled.
The project received the funding amounting to 36 mln PLN from the Physical Culture Development Fund of Ministry of Sport and Tourism.
