4th Eastern Europe Initiatives Congress 2015 took place in Lublin, thanks to which Lublin became a place of dialogue among various circles and thus proving Lublin's firm standing yet another time as a Centre for Eastern Competences not only on a national but also European scale. The inauguration of the Congress took place in Gallery of Polish Painting at the Lublin Castle on Thursday, October 1 .

Over 800 people from 20 countries registered for the Congress, which took place on 1-3 October. The representatives of many nationalities including the ones from Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Germany, France, Lithuania, Macedonia, Romania, USA, Tajikistan, Great Britain and Hungary signed up to take part in the Congress.

The programme of the Eastern Europe Initiatives Congress (KIEW) 2015 included nine programme lines i.e.: 25 years of self-governance, Education and Science, Heritage, Contexts, Culture for development, Sustainable Development, Intercultural Cities, Tourism, Safety in Eastern Europe.
