The concert used to open Lublin Student Culture Days. This year the concert will be the climax of the student events in May. The concert has been for years a cultural event presenting European music scene. It hosted such artists as Reamonn, Mattafix, The Futureheads, The Rasmus or Roots Manuva as well as Polish performers.
 

 

This year Lublin Student Culture Days will host four bands: three from abroad and one from Poland.

The concert will take place by Lublin castle on 17 May and will start around 6p.m. The main star of the concert will be H-Blockx. This German band has been successfully mixing up hip hop with rock music for years. They are the authors of such hits as Move, Risin' High or Little Girl, their music inspired, among others, Linkin Park and Papa Roach. The latest, seventh album of the H-Blockx will have its premiere this May.

 

Another star of the concert will be Kosheen: British trip hop, drum'n'bass and rock trio. The authors of Hide U and Catch will definitely entertain Lublin audience and perform their latest songs as well.

Another band performing at the concert is Tartak. This Ukrainian band experiments with rap, hard core, punk and traditional Ukrainian folk music. Such blend of styles guarantees great fun which will be remembered for a long time.

Polish star of the evening will be Carrion from Radom. The band have released three albums so far. The latest one, released this year, has received public recognition and Klub M, the single promoting the album, reached first place on Eska Rock radio charts.


The entrance will be free of charge. As usual, the concert will be organised in accordance with the highest security standards. Concert-goers will be protected not only by police but also by professional security guards. The organisers will also provide stand-by medical services. There will be no alcohol beverages sold or allowed in the concert area.


On the days that follow the concert, until 20 May, the stage will belong to the students of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin and University of Economics and Innovation in Lublin. These are the universities the students of which agreed on the offer of the President of the City of Lublin and decided to move their events from university campuses to the Lublin city centre.
