Inauguration of Lublin Medical Cluster

"I am glad that more and more companies and institutions recognize Lublin's potential and a good climate for their development that we are trying to create. Health protection and healthcare services are one of the key economic sectors in our city. We want to create favourable conditions for further development of the sector and stimulate new innovative undertakings. I am convinced that, with local government support, the initiated platform for science and business cooperation will bring the expected outcomes. It is a great success that, thanks to the inauguration of Lublin Medical Cluster of Healthcare and Pro-Health Services, we have managed to inspire Lublin healthcare sector to cooperate," said Krzysztof Żuk, Mayor of the City of Lublin.
The Cluster was created on the initiative of Lublin Municipal Office and Medical University of Lublin (first coordinators) under the agreement of January 2014. Entities joining the Cluster are obliged to cooperate in networking, to share information, knowledge and experiences that aim at supporting the development of local healthcare and pro-health sector in Lublin. It is supposed to foster the competitiveness of companies and institutions and to enhance the quality of healthcare. The entities contribute not only to research development and its commercialisation, but also to the development of entrepreneurship and medical tourism in our city.
The Cluster is continuously developing its international cooperation thanks to the active involvement of its members who participate in meetings, search for common solutions and prepare offers jointly, also for foreign markets. One of the communication tools that have been launched this year is the website www.medycyna.lublin.eu. At present, the healthcare sector is working upon new solutions that are necessary to promote and boost Lublin healthcare sector.
