The Lublin startup Finanteq received the main award “Best of Show” in the competition Finovate held in New York, the biggest conference devoted to the technological innovations in finances. The award, named also “Oscar” of the fintech industry, was given for creating so called “superwallets” – the next generation of the Virtual Purse.
The organisers of the competition said in justification that Finateq had shown banks and other financial institutions how to provide clients of mobile banking services with another added value and this way make their lives easier elevating their relations to a new level.
The above mentioned quality for users is the possibility to use your superwallet app. It is the new generation of the virtual purses which enable you not only to pay in a shop, transfer money , keep loyalty cards but primarily to have the whole ecosystem of broadly defined m-commerce together with m-banking at your disposal, which is to improve your daily life.
The solution we proposed combines possibilities of mobile payments that have been offered so far by many different apps . By means of using SuperWallet you can safely pay for a taxi, a car park, a cinema, a train, a tram, a bus, a hotel, a ticket for a party, a takeaway, renting a car and for many more services and goods. It is all possible thanks to the same app that is integrated with your own bank account – says Dobromir Piekarski, President of the Board at Finanteq S.A.
SuperWallet, together with platform m-Commerce which runs in the cloud, has been created for banks and mobile network operators that offer financial services. They can make use of SuperWallet as part of bigger solution offered by Finanteq or by means of integrating them with their m-banking systems that are already in existence.
Sales of banking products such as loans and credits does not happen often. Therefore, developing close relations with clients is a difficult task for banks. In turn, making small payments is an activity where clients are involved few times a day. However, banks have not had an opportunity to develop relations during such transactions. Banks and operators will be able to simplify performing of daily activities using our application and thereby add an additional value to the offered services – adds Dobromir Piekarski.
Dobromir Piekarski and Piotr Sieczka are the founders of Finanteq. The company is the spin-off of their first firm e-Leader which specialised in mobility since 2000 and created first smart phones solutions. Nowadays, the company can pride itself in implementations for international companies in more than 80 countries located on all continents.
The solution aiming at transforming mobile banking into superwallet has been implemented at Bank Zachodni WBK so far and is still being developed. It is worth a mention that mobile banking at BZ WBK ranks top in global standings of analytical companies like Forrester Research for example.
Finanteq is getting ready to enter the American market for the time being.
The Finnovate Fall Conference 2015 took place on 16-17 September. The attendees of the congress, who are the representatives of the biggest financial companies responsible for development, chose the most innovative technological solutions for finance out of over 70 qualified proposals – start-ups and global IT corporations. Eight concurrent “Best of Show” awards were given.
