The football squad led by Marcin Dorny is going to try out Arena Lublin soon. Poland’s national team – the white-and-reds (players born in 1994 and younger ones) will contend against the football squad of Israel on the Municipal Stadium in Lublin on Thursday (8th October).
Lublin will be one of the host cities for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship. The football squad led by Marcin Dorny will have an opportunity to try out Arena Lublin. The white-and-reds may have a chance to play matches of the group phase also in Lublin. Poland’s national team (players born in 1994 and younger ones) will contend against the football squad of Israel on the Municipal Stadium in Lublin.
Lublin can boast about modern sports infrastructure, which already meets international standards. Therefore, we are more than happy that the UEFA European Under-21 Championship will take place in Lublin in 2017. I invite everyone to the match between Poland and Israel for the time being – says Krzysztof Żuk, Mayor of Lublin City.
The encounter between Poland and Israel will occur on Thursday, 8th October, at 5 p.m. The training camp for the national team will probably also take place in our region. The camp for Poland’s national team is intended to take place on 5-9 October, whereas the one for Israel is to occur on 6-9 October. The match between Poland and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be played in a different city few days after the encounter between Poland and Israel.
Football central authorities are pleased with what we are doing in the Lubelskie Region. The match between Italy’s national youth team and Poland’s national youth team, which was played during the opening of Arena Lublin in autumn received favourable reception. We are happy about this. We will naturally do everything to fulfil the role of the host – says Zbigniew Bartnik, President of the Lublin Football Association.
Arena Lublin falls into the group of seven stadiums that were selected by Polish Football Association to be the ones where the matches of the European Championships U-21 will be played on 16-30 June 2017. Other selected stadiums are located in the following cities: Bydgoszcz, Gdynia, Kielce, Kraków, Tychy and Warszawa – Stadium of Legia Warszawa. These proposals have to be approved by UEFA. Poland being the host country has its place secured in the tournament.
The price of a single ticket ranges from 5 zł to 40 zł, whereas the price of VIP tickets with catering amounts to 60 zł. Tickets for organised groups consisting of 15 people minimum, including one Responsible Adult are priced at 5 zł per person. More information is available at the website of MOSiR Lublin.
