Construction works connected with the equipment replacement are to be carried out only at few more junctions. The Traffic Management Centre has been put into operation which collects data from 50 traffic lights connected to the system. Traffic disruptions connected with building of the System are a thing of the past now.

The system which is to be built this year is only the first phase. We are also going to redevelop another junctions. We will carry on developing the transport system as well as the Traffic Management System. We are applying for funds from the Operational Programme Eastern Poland – says Krzysztof Żuk, Mayor of Lublin City.

Analyses are carried out alongside construction works. The System has to collect a sufficient amount of data at first to start managing the traffic lights. All the devices that are placed near the traffic lights are to collect data. Therefore, the calibration of the System is an ongoing process.

We were aware that the task we decided to undertake was not an easy one. However, we are finishing the works and we will have the works done on schedule. The construction works are being completed and the new software is being installed. The Traffic Management System starts working – says Rafał Adamczak, Department Director of City Automation Qumak.
