The baroque Palace of the Czartoryski Family was designed at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries by the famous Flemish architect Tylman of Gameren. In 1728, the palace was remodelled by Franciszek Magier. The palace, built on a plan close to a square, in the eastern façade has a wide jutted out avant-corps where the staircase is. The classic baroque shape of the palace was destroyed when a square was built onto it. There, from 1911 there was a roller-skating hall, which was later turned into the representative Lublin cinema. The building was destroyed during World War II. After its renovation, the Baroque architectural garment was restored.

Nowadays, the Palace of the Czartoryski Family houses the headquarters of the Lublin Scientific Society and the Lublin Division of Polish Academy of Sciences.
