The results of the second edition of a current long-term competition "City of Culture as part of the European Capital of Culture Lublin 2029" have been announced. 21 projects have been selected for funding, for a total amount of over 2 million PLN. The submitted tasks will be implemented between 2024 through 2026.
In the second competition for tasks in the years 2024-2026, a total of 2.1 million PLN was available for distribution. During the application process, 45 proposals were received with a total value of nearly 8.5 million PLN.
Eventually, grants were awarded to 21 projects for a total amount of 2.1 million PLN, with 500,000 PLN allocated for 2024 and 800,000 PLN for both 2025 and 2026. Close attention was based upon funding new projects introducing innovative solutions and fulfilling the aims of the European Capital of Culture Lublin 2029 programme based on the RE:UNION idea, as well as regular projects that have become settled in the city calendar.
The competition results are published on Lublin Bulletin of Public Information (BIP). The implementation of funded projects started up in May and will end in 2026.
