The call for nominations for 2012 Artistic Achievements and Cultural Promotion Awards was closed on September 20, 2013. The following numbers of nominations have been received for the below award categories: The Municipality of Lublin Artistic Award – 9 nominees The Municipality of Lublin Award for Cultural Promotion – 22 nominees The Municipality of Lublin Award for Overall Achievements – 9 nominees The Municipality of Lublin Award for Cultural Patronage – 5 nominees. The nominations will be evaluated by the Awards Committee appointed by the Mayor of Lublin (Order No. 84/7/2013 dated July 19, 2013), composed of: - Prof. Urszula Bobryk – Deputy Rector for Student Affairs, MCSU, Lublin, - Fr Tomasz Dostatni - President of the ”Ponad Granicami” Foundation, - Teresa Księska-Falger – President of the Henryk Wieniawski Music Society, - Prof. Lechosław Lameński – Department of Modern Art History, Catholic University of Lublin, - Wojciech Mendzelewski, PhD – President of the Lublin Branch of the Polish Painters Association, Arts Faculty, Department of Sculpture, MCSU, Lublin - Marcin Nowak – Chairman of the Lublin City Council Committee for Culture and Monument Conservation, - Sławomir Toman, Phd, DSc – 2nd Department of Painting, MCSU, Lublin. The first meeting of the Awards Committee will be held September 30, 2013. The Committee will recommend award nominees to the Mayor of Lublin. Winners will be announced at a Culture Gala awards ceremony held on October 20, 2013, at the Centre for Culture in Lublin.
