”5Medium” Foundation is holding a series of free workshops and short courses for those aged 50 or over.
I. Computers and the Internet:
Computer literacy and the basics of navigating the Internet. This workshop is available at the beginner and intermediate level. Six meetings; taught by Kinga Wróblewska.
II.Thematic workshops:
1. Radio
Participants will learn how to prepare and edit their own audio recordings on issues relevant to over 50s. The workshop will include a visit to a local radio. Five meetings; taught by Agnieszka Jóźwik (Radio Centrum)
2. Photography
Participants will learn the theoretical and practical basics of analogue and digital photography and will be introduced to the history of the medium. Seven meetings (camera required); taught by Marcin Sudziński and Jakub Celewicz
3. English
English for beginners. Six meetings; taught by Andrzej Kępski
4. World Wide Web
Participants will learn how to set up and edit their own website, including a blog, a Wikipedia website, a Facebook fan page. Intermediate computer literacy is required for this workshops. Four meetings; taught by Agnieszka Jarmuł (“5medium” Foundation)
A social programme including meetings at the “Pod Fortuną” Cellar will be organised for participants.
Deadline for application is 30 July 2014. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
The workshops will be held in August and September at ACK UMCS "Chatka Żaka".
