Marcin Dymiter’s music for a theatre production by Ludomir Franczak, “Życie i śmierć Janiny Węgrzynowskiej” (Life and Death of Janina Węgrzynowska), is the thirteenth release by Kaiser Söze Foundation. The music was released as a limited edition audio cassette in collaboration with Theatre Confrontations Festival.
The music composed for the theatre spectacle ”Życie i śmierć Janiny Węgrzynowskiej,” produced in 2016 under the programme of the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute. Dymiter uses a selection of Węrzynowska’s works as sheet music or graphic notations for which he which seeks audio counterparts. Dymiter creates musical structures based on rhythm and disruption. He transfers specific experience of the life and work of the artist and her archive to an abstract space, devoid of visual concrete. This action is, on the one hand, the author's interpretation of Węgrzynowska’s work, on the other, it rests on the fragments of recordings found in her studio and the knowledge about things that were strongly present in the sound space surrounding the artist.
