The House of Words (Dom Słów) is looking for volunteers (aged 15-65) for the 8th “City of Poetry” Literary Festival in Lublin.
We are looking for volunteers to join the following teams:
1. Festival Bureau
This team is perfect for those who like working on their own. Your duties will include preparation of packages for poets, distribution of promotional materials (e.g. posters), taking care of festival invited poets and running festival information points.
2. Little City of Poetry
This team involves work with children. You will read fairy tales in kindergartens, animate various activities for children, act out different characters, coordinate meetings, workshops and book sale.
3. Territories of Poetry
You will assist us with a variety of cultural events organized as part of the festival. Join this team if you like working with other people.
4. Gate of Poetry
You will help us organize meetings at the Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre Centre. This team if perfect for people who like organizing things.
5. Education team
You will assist us with a number of different actions such as workshops and poetry meetings held in schools.
6. Photo team
You will take photos during the ”I Like Poetry” event. This team is for photography enthusiasts.
7. Technical staff You will assist us with carrying, moving and hanging things. The team is for those who like working physically.
Volunteers will be offered:
dedicated training;
a tour of the House of Words;
a volunteer’s kit.
