Chancellery of the Mayor of Lublin City and Kurier Lubelski would like to invite young artists to design and construct a nativity scene. The best design will be selected by the Lubliners and this year's nativity scene will be built according to the projects. There is an attractive prize for the winner. As it happens every year, in the last days of December, Po Farze Square will host Christmas Festival. The place becomes vibrant with people at that time. This year, the organizers want Lubliners to decide on what the place will look like. The competition is addressed to young artists (aged 18-27). The laureate will receive the main prize - 8.000 zł founded by Lublin City. The deadline for projects is October 22. There is a limit of one project for one person only. Also groups can take part in the competition. The designs - computer visualizations or models - can be sent to szopka@lublin.eu or delivered to the seat of the Chancellery of the Mayor of Lublin City - Rynek 8. The competition has two stages. The first one includes evaluation by the jury that consists of: Michał Krawczyk – Chancellery of the Mayor of Lublin City, Arkadiusz Klucznik – H. Ch. Andersen's Theater and Paweł Franczak – Kurier Lubelski. The jury will select 3 projects to be published in Kurier Lubelski and on the website www.lublin.eu. The second stage includes evaluation by the citizens of Lublin who can vote using the forms in Kurier Lubelski or on the websites www.lublin.eu or www.kurierlubelski.pl. The winner will have a month for constructing the Scene. All expenses concerning the materials (indicated in the projects) will be covered by the Lublin City. The expenses cannot exceed 11.000 zł though. The event aims at activation of local community which gets to decide on an important element of Christmas Tradition. Lublin, the City of Inspiration, does not only inspire, but also gives a chance to make the creative visions of the young generation come true.
