Borderland Cemeteries: A Call for Volunteers
26.08.201408:39

The Society for Nature and Man announces a call for volunteers
to take part in a camp organized under the Borderland Cemeteries project to save a historic cemetery in Husynne (Hrubieszów commune). The camp will be held from August 31 to September 6, 2014.
In the years 2005-2014 the Society for Nature and Man conducted over 40 actions to renovate and tidy up cemeteries on the borderland between Poland and Ukraine. This year we will once again show up in Husynne, a village with a historic Orthodox cemetery. The renovation works done there a few years ago need to be continued. Volunteers will be given a number of tasks, from simple brushing and painting to strenuous (and savvy-demanding) re-assembling of gravestones. We provide accommodation, vegetarian cuisine, health insurance and reimbursement of travel expenses. Details of volunteer recruitment The project is co-financed by the Civic Initiatives Fund Operational Programme and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage
