East European Performing Arts Platform is announcing an open call for the Second Residence and Internship Programme.
East European Performing Arts Platform (EEPAP) is organisation which supports development of contemporary performing arts (theatre and dance) in so called "Central" and "East" Europe. The project is aimed at artists, curators, managers of independent arts centres and festivals and thinkers in the field of contemporary performing arts from 19 countries, including the Balkan countries and member-states of the Eastern Partnership. The objective of EEPAP is to strengthen and facilitate an international exchange between artists, and culture activists, as well as the preparation and development of educational programs focused on the performing arts. This year EEPAP offers 11 residencies and internships during the autumn and winter season of 2013 at culture institutions and art festivals in Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romania. The programme is designed for programme managers and producers from the performing arts festivals (dance and theatre sector) as well as persons representing independent performing arts institutions and project in Eastern Partnership Countries, critics dealing with contemporary theatre and dance set designers. Residents of the following countries are eligible to apply: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Ukraine and Hungary . Each residence will start a week, or several days before the beginning of this year edition of the host festival and continue during the whole festival programme. Curator, critic, manager or producer is supposed to participate in the final stage of festival preparations as well as different organization activities during the festival. Some of the festivals might suggest a work with the coverage of the programme (writing and editing of the reports and essays regarding performances and events).  Here is a detailed description of particular residence programmes with conditions and prospective responsibilities Conditions: - successful applicants will be provided with free accommodation, flight ticket and a grant to cover living expenses; - each person may apply for one residence programme; however, there is a possibility to chose a second, optional programme which will be taken into consideration in case the first choice programme runs out of free spots. The person who wants to choose a second programme, should mark clearly this is the second choice option. - fluency in English (along with the native language) is required). Dialog-1 Residence programme, apart from the proficiency in English, requires basic knowledge of Polish. Working language of MESS Festival Workshop is English. - there is no age limit. To apply for the Programme, please prepare an individual submission, including: - brief covering letter to justify your choice of a particular programme- short summary of previous work experience (up to 2 pages) - CV (one page maximum) - Filled application form containing the code of the chosen programme. The submissions will not be returned.
