We are extending our network of the best and most talented volunteers of culture in Lublin. You can become part of it. We are offering a series of trainings and practical classes after which you will have the problems of culture and voluntary works at your fingertips.
Who is a Volunteer of Culture?
A volunteer o culture is a regular collaborator with Lublin’s cultural institutions, non-governmental organizations and artists; it is someone who is interested in voluntary work and, most of all, in development of Lublin and the Lublin region. We are looking for residents of Lublin aged 16 to 75 who want to become volunteers and for cultural animators who collaborate with volunteers in their work.
How to become a Volunteer of Culture?
We have prepared a series of free workshops and trainings, meetings and internships that will broaden your knowledge and, thus, help you work more efficiently in the sector of culture. The classes will be led by instructors who have been active in the field of culture in Lublin and the Lublin region for years. The classes wil be divided into two modules:
Training module
The participants will learn how to manage projects, work in groups and communicate with immediate environment and public administration. They will get to know culture animation techniques, rights and duties of volunteers as well as the fundamentals of marketing. They will learn how to finance their ideas and speak in public. In addition, they will broaden their knowledge about culture in Lublin.
Practical module
All project participants will have an opportunity to take part in cultural events organized in the city by different cultural institutions in Lublin and Lublin region; to participate and help organize a Project Finale Ceremony; to prepare a local initiative project to be realized in 2016 .
The meetings and workshops for project participants will be held at weekends from 17 September to 15 December 2015.
