Workshops of Culture launch the recruitment for the programme Volunteer of European Capital of Culture.
*Participant€™s profile* If you are 18 or older, culture is your passion, you would like to experience something new, you are open to challenges and eager to work, you are welcome to enter for the programme Volunteer of European Capital of Culture. Through participation in this programme you will be introduced to the functional structure of cultural institutions and you will be given a chance to gain the insight into the work in the field of culture. Apart from that, you will have an opportunity to develop skills necessary to organise, design, manage and realise cultural events. *What is the programme Volunteer of European Capital of Culture about?* The programme  Volunteer of European Capital of Culture (ECC) lasts for 10 months, from January to October. It consists of two parts: the theoretical and the practical one. The first one encompasses educational and cultural activities, factual preparation for working with individual events, training on the functioning of Workshops of Culture, as well as optional training concerning writing and editing, marketing and fund-raising. The other part includes helping with the organization of international cultural events . In addition, the programme creates the opportunity of putting the acquired skills into practice, meeting new people, gaining experience, learning new skills and practicing foreign languages. It is also a good chance to take part in a useful training before working in a cultural institution, as well as working by projects aiming at granting the city of Lublin the title of European Capital of Culture *How to become a volunteer?* Just fill in the questionnaire and send it back via e-mail until 22nd December 2009 to: a.will@warsztatykultury.pl or hand it in personally to the office for Workshops of Culture. We accept ONLY typed questionnaires (there is a possibility of filling in the questionnaire in the office for Workshops of Culture). Questionnaires completed by hand will not be accepted.  After the deadline for applications we will inform you about the introductory meeting.
