Recruitment for the XII International Summer School of Traditional Music Łukowiska near Janów Podlaski 5 – 19 July 2009 We invite you to take part of our Summer School with practical and theoretical lessons devoted to traditional singing. The lessons will consist of: studies of traditional songs, studies of techniques of singing, different styles and performing mannerism’s, lectures and film showings. Each day of the Summer School has from 4 to 5 hours of work over just the singing. For the past 12 years we have been inviting outstanding experts and traditional singing practitioners from Poland, Eastern and Western Europe as instructors and lecturers. The lessons are addressed to people who want to begin an adventure with singing. Also to the ones’ that plan to continue and deepen their experience achieved before and learn different techniques useful for voice practice. Furthermore the Summer School includes workshops of playing traditional instruments and traditional dance workshops. The skills gained at the workshops can be practiced at ‘dance evenings’ each day.
