Make your own animated film!

How was the animated TV series "Miś Uszatek" ("Floppy Bear") made? How long did it take to make one episode of the Czech stopm-motion animated series "Sąsiedzi" ("Pat & Mat")? Were the characters from "Chicken Run" ("Uciekające kurczaki") made of plasticine? To get the answers to these questions and to make your own animated film, sign up for the workshops on stop motion animation organized by the Workshops of Culture in Lublin.
Dates: 24, 25, 31 January and 1 February 2015, from 11 am to 2 pm Venue: Workshops of Culture in Lublin
Stop motion is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of usually 24 frames per second is played as a continuous sequence. The workshop participants will get to know various animation techniques, including puppet and clay animation, cutout animation, storyboard, pixilation and combined techniques. Following a theoretical introduction to this animation technique, the participants will undertake jointly to make their own stop motion animated film.
To sign up, phone us at 81 533 08 18 (Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm). Participants must be 16 years old or above.
The workshops are free of charge.
