Registration at the LSM Community Centre’s front office (Wallenroda 4a; phone: 81 743 48 29 or e-mail: dom.kultury@spodzielnialsm.pl) DECLAMATION WORKSHOPS A declamation workshop for elementary and junior high school pupils (aged 11-16) starts in September at the LSM Community Centre. The workshop is aimed at making pupils passionate about the spoken word and developing their culture of expression and linguistic richness. Participants will acquire the skill of performing in public through exercises in controlling their body and voice as well as learning how to attract their listener's attention. The workshop programme includes: - working with a literary text (analysis, interpretation, repertoire selection), - exercises in articulation and vocal emission, - preparation for declamation contests and festivals, - creating poetic performances. The classes will be conducted by Weronika Puszyk, who is a reciter and winner of numerous national declamation contests and festivals. A third-year student at the Collage Interfaculty Individual Studies in the Humanities at Lublin Catholic University, she is a member of the ParaFraza Group. April 19-21, 2013, she coordinated the FRAZA Students Festival in Lublin. THEATRE WORKSHOPS - Teatr 4 Do you dream of an acting career? Would you like to meet people with similar interests? If so, join in a new theatre group: Teatr 4. Junior high school students and secondary school students are particularly welcome to participate in classes that will help form a new theatre group operating at the LSM Community Centre. The programme includes: preparation for performing in public, integration activities, drama games and plays, improvisation exercises as well as creating students' own performances and drama exercises. The classes will be conducted by Małgorzata Adamczyk, a student of Polish and Theatre Studies at Catholic University of Lublin, actress with the ITP Theatre for 5 years, member of the ParaFraza Group and volunteer with Stary Theatre. She collaborates with the Creative Personalities Association, BTA Kompas, ParaFraza Grup Circle, Theater Studies Students’ Scientific Circle and online journal ”Teatralia.”
