Social Mosaic Studio is an independent art collective, its main field of activity being the creation of mosaics in public spaces in collaboration with local communities. The collective is also a group of friends whose shared adventure began with the project "Tenants" by the Open Area Foundation in 2015 at the Juliusz Słowacki housing estate in Lublin. The Studio is the place where new projects are invented. It is also the place which fosters a lot of discussion about existing mosaics and the shared space and quality of life in the city. The guiding principle of the Studio is to work with people and for people, and the resulting works are always a pretext for joint actions and debates about a specific space and its residents and their customs, joys and problems.
