European Meeting Centre Nowy Staw Foundation would like to invite you to participate in “Youth Media training for employability & inclusion” course held from 28 May-6 June 2013, in Nasutów near Lublin.
The main objective of the project is to broaden competences and skills of youth workers and volunteers who want to use new technology and new media in their everyday work, especially for the promotion of youth mobility, their active participation in social life as well as integration and social inclusion.
The training course is aimed at 28 youth workers from partner institutions from Lithuania, Poland, Denmark, Finland, Greece, The United Kingdom and Spain. After the course the participants will be able to use newly learnt skills at their organizations and in their voluntary work. They will have acquainted themselves with social media and modern digital media (websites, news web portals, blogs and web TV); they will be able to prepare materials intended for publication in such media (short films, street interviews, information video clips, radio broadcast teasers) and use those media as tools in their work with young people.
During the course you will:
gain basic knowledge of mass media
learn to conduct interviews
become skilled at editing video material and writing a blog
work in an international internet TV group
learn how to use social media
find out how to be effective in teaching young people about mass media
be trained to coordinate international projects
find out how to use the Internet safely
Participation in the workshops is free of charge.
Organisers guarantee course materials, accommodation, food and transport from Lublin to Nasutów.
Age of participants: 18 + (no age limitations for adults)
