“Zaczytani” Campaign to be Launched in Lublin
30.08.201301:15

Do you want to help someone? Are there any children’s books or fairy tales that fill your shelves and you don’t know what to do with them?
If so, then this campaign is for you! Give a book, inspire others and help create a library for little patients! Starting September 2, the Municipal Public Library in Lublin will join “Zaczytani” (Engrossed in Reading), a national social campaign for the promotion of reading.
The campaign will be launched on September 2, 2013, at all branches of the Municipal Public Library in Lublin. Its aim is to collect books for children and teenagers from hospitals, daycare rooms, family children’s homes or hospices. Go visit the library! Bring new or used books and fairy tales. Leave them at specially designed drop-off points, the so-called “Little Houses for Books.” Given out of the kindness of your heart, the books will surely evoke a smile on the faces of little patients. Remember to bring books that are clean, neat and suitable for children and teenagers. The campaign will be accompanied by educational activities for the promotion of reading and the habit of everyday book-reading. It is held under the honorary patronage of the spouse of the President of Poland, Mrs Anna Komorowska. The Honorary Committee also includes Marek Michalak, the Spokesman for Children’s Rights. Give a book! Inspire others! Create a library for little patients! Help collect books and become an ambassador of the “Zaczytani” campaign!
