European Tastes Festival will start on Friday, September 11, at 10.00 in the Old Town. Lublin, for three days, will become the "tastiest" city. The event is organized by the City of Lublin. The festival is part of Lublin's program in the competition for the European Capital of Culture title.
Among the invited guests are Piotr Bikont, Robert Makłowicz and Stanisław Soyka. The host of "Podróże Kulinarne" series, Robert Makłowicz will be a member of jury evaluating the dishes prepared by the students of cooking schools. The festival will open with St. Jack Fair. It will be an opportunity to taste and buy traditional treats of the Region. There will also be cooking shows and a performance on Tatar's traditions. On Saturday, the best cooks from the region will compete in the "Tastes of the Lublin Region" competition. The Old Pub will host 1st International Liqueur Competition of Poland and Neighboring Countries. Dominican Friars will organize a feast will renaissance dances. There will be also other attractions, like baking a tree cake or shows on Jewish cuisine. Saturday’s events will end with concert of Stanisław Soyka on Stage of Tastes. On Sunday, the last they of the festival, the Stage of Taste will be used by Janów Lubelski. The Festival caters not only our taste but also our ears.
