The festival is an occasion for the artist to present the new trends in dance theatre. The aim of this year's edition is to show the place of dance theatre in the history of art. There will be professional dance theatres from such countries as the USA, Switzerland, Austria, France, Russia, Hungary, Belarus, Slovakia and Poland. Also, there will be meetings with artists, exhibitions, photography competition and film projections. “Considering the performances we are going to see, this festival will become an important event in the history of Lublin’s cultural life. it will be an important asset to Lublin on its way to the title of the Cultural Capital City of Europe.” said Mr. Wasilewski. Each year, the International Festival of Dance Theatres which has become a regular cultural event in Poland, gathers more and more people interested in dance theater. Thanks to the fact that the best dance teachers, choreographers, and performers take part in the festival, it is becoming more and more popular among those people who would like to broaden their skills and knowledge in this form of art.
