In the summer, the Bridge of Culture will hold concerts, workshops and cabaret performances almost everyday. Check out our programme for the week of July. Admission to all events is free of charge.

Modern Pets / No Reason Why
1 July / Wednesday / 8 PM 

Modern Pets is a Berlin-based quartet that released their debut single in 2010. Their sense of humor combined with music drawing on the tradition of punk, garage and power pop from 1977 make up an explosive blend. No Reason Why is a punk-rock band from Lublin founded in 2012 (previously known as Dead Survivors). Their experiments in sound evolved from horror punk to melodic hardcore. 

Samba on the Bridge – percussion workshops
2 July / Thursday / 5 PM

The Sambasim collective will run a workshop on percussion instruments. the workshop is for everyone who is interested in the Brazilian Carnival Samba from Rio and Salvador regardless of their age or skills. Miąższ / Michał Skubaniec
3 July / Friday / 8 PM

Miąższ won the main prize at the FAMA Festival 2010 and was invited to perform at TopTrendy 2014 in Sopot. Their music is a remarkably vivid blend of folk, blues, jazz and reggae. The after party will be hosted by Michał Skubaniec, musician, DJ, cultural animator and promoter of Latino and Afro-Latino music.

St. Nicolas Orchestra
4 July / Saturday / 8 PM

St. Nicols Orchestra is one of the most popular Polish folk ensembles known for their acoustic sound and archaic singing techniques. The Orchestra was one of the first ensembles that started playing music inspired by Slavic folk music, particularly Polish, Lemko and Hutsul folk music.

Summer Academy of Inspiration / WiR Cabaret
5 July / Sunday / 12 PM 

On Sunday afternoon children can take part in workshops that will stimulate their creativity, among others they will learn how to make graffiti. At 7 pm the stage will belong to the WiR Cabaret. Their skits are based on intelligent social humour with a solid dose of irony and distance to the surrounding world.
