New Year's Eve has traditionally been on Lublin's event calendar list.
The citizens of Lublin, as well as the guests in the city will have a possibility to celebrate the beginning of New Year at Litewski Square just like a year ago. The performance of Big Day band is going to be the main attraction of the event. The group has been playing in Poland for 16 years now. Not only the concert, but also lots of additional contests, competitions and various games will help the citizens and the guests to greet New Year in a very good mood.
What is more, the fans of rock and roll music will have a chance to listen to Backbeat band from Lublin, whose repertoire consists of hits from '50s and '60s performed by stars like Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, The Beatles and many others.
At midnight, the city's authorities are going to give the citizens and the guests the best, New Year's wishes and then the fireworks will light up the night sky.
DJ Prosper will guarantee the music for the second part of this special night. The music will be played till early morning hours.
New Year's programme in general outline:
9.00 pm – the opening of the event
9.10 pm – 10.25 pm – Backbeat
10.25 pm – 10.40 pm – competitions
10.40 pm – 11.55 pm - Big Day
11.55 pm – 00.20 am – New Year’s final countdown, fireworks
00.20 am – 2.00 am – DJ Prosper
2.00 am – the end of the event
Public transport is going to be available for all participating in the event. During the night, 301, 302 and 303 public buses are going to run more often.
The route of 301, 302 and 303 buses is going to be as follows:
1. the bus stop - Hempla 01 (1091 number) – terminus:
- 301 bus heading Romera Street; running every half hour from 10.30 pm till 3.30 am.
- 302 bus heading Abramowice; running every half hour from 10.30 pm till 3.30 am.
- 303 bus heading Felin; running every half hour from 10.30 pm till 3.30 am.
2. the bus stop - Hempla 02 (1092 number) – next to the shop:
- 301 bus heading Zbożowa Street; running every half hour from 10.30 pm till 3.30 am.
- 302 bus heading Koncertowa Street; running every half hour from 10.30 pm till 3.30 am.- 303 bus heading Jana Pawła II Street; running every half hour from 10.30 pm till 3.30.30 am.
