Performance and workshops of Persian calligraphy
16.09.201913:22

Two calligraphers: Ahmad Mohammadpour from Iran and Anna Kłys from Lublin will create their own artistically illustrated versions of the poem of the Persian poet Hafez during a shared performance on 17-18 September. Calligraphic painting is a modern, interdisciplinary art that combines painting and calligraphy. It generates a new form, technique and style. The inhabitants, both of Iran and Poland, experienced a peaceful cooperation after 1945.

The Iranian-Polish performance of calligraphic painting is under the keynote: peace and solidarity between people. Artists from Poland and Iran will try to create an innovative piece of art that will combine Eastern and Western technique. The live event will be accompanied by Persian calligraphy workshops for those concerned. Mr. Mohsen Ataelahi, Counsellor of the Islamic Embassy of the Republic of Iran, visited Poland in July this year and the approaching event is the visit prolongation.
