The 2016 edition of the POST SCRIPTUM Film Review was launched on October 15. The programme includes film screenings, exhibitions of posters and stills, meetings with artists, lectures, slide-shows and backstage discussions over coffee. Besides random titles there will also be themed events.
The screenings held on October 22 will be titled ”The Music sound of film scores.” The programme includes: ARGENTINA” by Carlos Saura, ”RIGHT SIDE OF CELLO” by Aleksandra REK and ”SONITA” by Rokhsareh Ghaem Maghami. The talks before the screenings will be delivered by film expert Stanisław Krusiński. This subject matter will be continued the following week with the screening of Laurie Anderson’s ”HEART OF A DOG.”
In November FILM ALL SOULS’ DAY, or the screenings of films by filmmakers who passed away, including ”COSMOS” by Andrzej Żuławski and ”THE DOUBLE LIFE OF VERONIQUE” by Krzysztof Kieślowski. We will also show Andrzej Wajda's ”WITHOUT ANESTHESIA.” In addition, there will also be a multimedia presentation in memoriam of this great artist. The screenings will be preceded with an introductory word by Grzegorz Pieńkowski, film expert and lecturer with the Academy of Film and Theatre.
In December we invite you to FESTIVAL SATURDAYS, or the screenings of award-winning films from the festivals in Cannes, Berlin and Sundance, including ”I, Daniel Blake” directed by Ken Loach, ”IT'S ONLY THE END OF THE WORLD” by Xavier Dolan, „THE LAND OF THE ENLIGHTENED” directed by Pieter-Jan De Pue and Michael Franco’s ”CHRONIC.”
