This year's "Solo of Life" festival will take place this coming weekend. The aim of this festival initiated by Mieczysław Jurecki is promotion of young talented instrumentalists. This year five guitar and one harmonica players will compete in the finals. The audience will also hear famous artists, among others: Martyna Jakubowicz, John Porter, Krzak and Tommy Denander with Marek Raduli, Grzegorz Grzyb and Mietek Jurecki.
The festival has been organized since 2005. It was initiated by Mieczysław Jurecki, a Lublin musician performing with, for instance, Budka Duflera. The final concert will be preceded by long hearings - eliminations. The winner will be awarded with the "Golden Note of the Solo of Life 2011." There is also an additional prize - performance at Rysiek Riedel "Ku Przestrodze" Festival 2011 and the "Solo of Life 2012" in Lublin.
The concerts will be accompanied by guitar workshop, jam sessions and a photo exhibitions.
