The European Heritage Days
14.09.201008:30

The European Heritage Days is the biggest social and educational project in Europe, the most important celebration of cultural monuments of the Old Continent.
It’s idea originated in Granada on 3 October 1985, during the 2nd Council of Europe Conference of European Ministers responsible for Architectural Heritage. On this occasion, the French Minister of Culture suggested extending to a European level the "Monuments’ Open Doors" initiative launched in France in 1984. The aim of the EHD 2010 is to illustrate the value of historical industrial monuments and their importance to national heritage, sharing knowledge about them, showing how the industrial production once looked, and how it looks today.
