Debates, conferences, meetings. Philosophers and scientists will arrive from all over Europe to debate about the European Union’s future, to consider how to experience from the Union of Lublin as well as to name the challenges facing the European Union.

The historian professors among others from Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Great Britain and representatives of 38 European Heritage Label depositaries from all Europe will be invited to the Session of the European Heritage Label. The second day of Congress will be devoted to the history of signing, conditioning analysis and the grounds of signing the Union of Lublin, adopted principles, its results and durability.

Community and Self-Governance Conference

Venue: The Crown Tribunal and the Faculty of Political Sciences, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University

The Conference is attended by political scientists and politicians. Two sessions are planned: “Europe in a violent world” and “Self-government traditions of Two Unions” and will cover the discussion on the history of self-governments in Poland and Lithuania as well as their transformations in the countries of Middle and Eastern Europe, their current condition and issues.

Lublin in the time of Union

Venue: The Crown Tribunal in Lublin

The Session of Regional Conservator of Monuments and Lublin District Association of Conservator of Monuments. The programme speeches will present the gothic past of Lublin monuments on the basis of restoration, architectural and archeological studies. It will also be an opportunity to present Lublin architecture (secular and sacral) from the end of XVI century, including the contemporary Krakowskie Przedmieście Street, presented on the paintings on the tenement house on Rynek 8.
