On August 16-18, we will enter the world of tradition and folklore culture - Jagiellonian Fair. The streets of the Old Town will be filled with stalls. Gathered craftsmen will not only be presenting and selling their products but also showing their craftsmanship. This year the main theme is apiculture. Look then for the bee motifs both in the city area and in the presented folk art. Fairs are full of colour, fun and, of course, music! Concert "re: tradition" is worth seeing and listening to! For the youngest there will be traditional games, folk toys and many other attractions.

Concerts

The Bridge of Culture provides a rich cultural offer. On Friday Plug & Play will perform - a Polish band founded in Lublin and No Flowers - the band consisting of five rock musicians. On Saturday though, the Standard Bass Band. Its repertoire covers Polish and world popular music hits, well-known film themes and jazz standards.

On the Central Playground Stage - “Roger Orchestra” band meaning 19 performers, including vocals and the whole violin section. They will present well-known funk, R&B and smooth jazz pieces arranged by Mateusz "Roger" Strzempa.

Performances/screenings

Punkt Kultury invites you for an On Art Festival. It is an outdoor film festival that takes place simultaneously in six cities: Warsaw, Krakow, Łódź, Bydgoszcz, Lublin and Wroclaw. The programme consists of: an international competition and film reviews about art.

Theatre Confrontations and the Centre for Culture invite you to the screenings of the film "Magic Nights". It is both a comedy and a film noir.

At the Cinema Bajka there will be a special screening of Pedro Almodovar's latest film 'Pain and Glory'. See for yourself whether the director created an autobiographical masterpiece with Antonio Banderas as a main protagonist!

Meetings

On August 17 and 18, the State Museum at Majdanek organizes another edition of “Weekend with history”. Following the "Trail of Lost Places", the participants will not only get acquainted with the general outline of the history of the German Nazi concentration camp, but will also discover the post- German history of the grounds of the former camp. The guides will explain why only a part of the camp subjects survived. Visitors will be able to learn about barracks, workshops, magazines and quarters that do not exist today from the accounts of prisoners, witnesses and perpetrators.

What do "Scales, bombs and bicycles " have in common? You will learn this during a walk with a Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society guide. You'll visit a place where Jensz's beer was brewed and bread was baked at Kijok's. You will discover the secrets of the item belonging to the Kleniewski family and other pioneering investments for the region. In another walk, you can discover the secrets and legends of the Old Town.

Workshops

Central Playground invites to juggling and physical workshops for the people with disabilities. Due to the classes, you will develop your concentration, balance and patience.

Workshops of creating self-portraits - mix of techniques prepared by Szpilka Foundation.

The Bridge of Culture offers culinary workshops with peppers as a main character "We eat seasonally, we eat plants". It will be, for certain, a tasty event!

Workshops of Culture invite you to the 100-year-old photo studio. Let’s learn the secrets about photography techniques and see what the photographer's work once looked like!

Sport

Fun sport invites you to the Zemborzycki Reservoir.

For children

A concert for children will be held at the Bridge of Culture. The event commemorates the 450th anniversary of the Union of Lublin.

Central Playground invites for the workshops where you will find out how to “Do your own show” .

Painting on the glass, creating flowers from blotting paper, building houses for insects and the spectacle "Why is honey so sweet?" all at VIVO.

Fairs

The Open Air Village Museum in Lublin invites for the Harvest Festival.

The Lubelska Liga Gier Miejskch (LLGM) invites you to an unusual city game - Jagiellonian Fair.
