Spectacles/cinema
In the evening, Centre for Culture invites you to “Komedialna: Zakochani w impro”. Moreover, the Theatre Carnival still continues - 100 days with over 100 theatre events. On Valentine's evening Lublin Dance Theatre will perform "If / Then" at the Centre for Culture. On the other hand, Centre for the Meeting of Cultures invites you to a film "Marianne and Leonard: Words of Love". It is a 2019 documentary film directed by Nick Broomfield, about the relationship between writer and singer Leonard Cohen and his "muse" Marianne Ihlen, in particular their time spent on the Greek island of Hydra in the 1960s and 1970s.[3] She was the inspiration behind "So Long, Marianne", "Hey, That's No Way to Say Goodbye" and "Bird on the Wire." And in the Bajka Cinema a fairy tale about Cinderella for adults "Staniczek/The Bra” will be broadcast. A lonely train driver finds a bra on his train and walks along the track to look for the owner. The tragicomic story of THE BRA is directed by acclaimed German director Veit Helmer .
Concerts
This weekend is full of Valentine's concerts! "O Miłości się nie mówi. Walentynki z Lubelską Federacją Bardów", "Walentynkowy Koncert Muzyki Filmowej" in the Centre for Culture, a symphony concert "Walentynki w Filharmonii", “Paths of Love” - a meeting and concert of Abdullah Abadi "Traditional music of Chorasan” in the Workshops of Culture, "Tango Show dla zakochanych" at the Musical Theatre, a concert of classical music organised by Lotne Babki or "Tańcz mnie po miłości kres "- Valentine's concert of Marcin Styczeń are planned!
Exhibitions
Under the Acacia Youth Community Centre invites you to "Przebudzenie" and "Z głębi morza" exhibitions. The Society of Fine Arts in Lublin, however, encourages you to visit the collective exhibition "Przegląd wiosenny 2020". Moreover, the Academy of Photographic Discoveries celebrates its sixth birthday at the Centre for Culture. The event will be accompanied by the exhibitions of "Buszując w głowie" and "Portrety" by Paweł Bajew, "Autoportert" by Oleksandra Radczenko and "Wśród nas" by Grzegorz Pawlak.
Walks
The "Lublin dla zakochanych" walk is a proposal of Polish Tourist Sightseeing Society to grasp many amazing stories related not only to the Valentine’s Day but also to the history of Lublin. You may also spend St Valentine's Day at The Lublin Open Air Village Museum. During the walk with a guide "Miłość i tęsknota to dwie prządki naszego żywota", you will have an opportunity to visit the church from Matczyn with the altar of St. Valentine’s or to see personal ads from almost a century ago. On the other hand, Lubelskie Spacery Rowerowe group suggests to join the march Ciasna, Niecała, Krótka, Drobna but without bikes this time. And on Friday, the Via Jagiellonica Foundation invites for a walk with a guide.
Workshops
Lotne Babki group offers a herbal workshop "Zioła jako Afrodyzjaki" on Sunday. You will be able to learn about the extraordinary power of herbs. Whereas on Saturday, we invite you to the House of Words to admire the beautiful writing and to participate in calligraphy workshops.
Sport
Parkrun will take place in Saski Garden. This time it will be a Valentine's edition, but not only for couples. All amateurs of running are welcome! Hala Globus invites you to Energa Basket Women League - Pszczółka Polski Cukier AZS UMCS Lublin ‒ Arka Gdynia and also to the 1st Amateur FIFA 20 Tournament.
For children
Sensory workshops (shapes, forms and colours) will be held at the Galeria Labirynt on Saturday.
Fairs
Supposedly, there is nothing more romantic than chocolate! This weekend you may find it out during the Chocolate Festival - We Form at the Lublin Conference Centre. It will be a sweet and delicious experience.
